Our Humble Beginnings
HOW IT ALL BEGUN
In February 2014, after a month of deep fasting and prayer, we sensed a major change was coming. The Lord placed a new ministry on our hearts—“Rock Vision Church.” Sharing this vision was met with resistance, and we found ourselves isolated. Yet, the calling remained strong.
On February 13th, at 3 AM, while in prayer, God spoke clearly: “It’s time to leave and begin anew. I cannot put new wine into old wineskins.” My wife, also in prayer, asked about the scripture, “If you are rejected in a place, shake the dust from your feet” (Mark 6:11). This confirmed what God had revealed to me.
Later that morning, during our Prayer Line summit, a prophetic word echoed the message to move. It was then revealed that there was a plot against our family and ministry, and we knew we had to act quickly.
In the weeks that followed, our prayers intensified. God spoke with urgency: “Move, and I will begin a new ministry with you!” On February 24, 2014, in obedience and with the support of friends, we registered ROCK VISION Church in Columbia. That same day, we found our first worship space, thanks to Mr. Charles Atchison.
Our journey would not have been possible without the steadfast support of friends and fellow believers. Their prayers, encouragement, and contributions helped us grow and pursue God’s vision. We are grateful for each person who stood with us, including Mr. Michel Bayiha and family, the Manteaw family, the Gentry family, Ms. Browning, Ms. Talbert, Mrs. Prince, Ms. Crystal Peake, Renee Twitty, Kadesha, the Williams family, the late Mr. David Chiles & family, Aikeem Steward, and many others.
At our first service, we welcomed 19 adults, 8 youth, and 9 children. Today, we worship in a larger space, giving glory to God for guiding us through these humble beginnings.
